After the sudden demise of my father, I Surya Preethy, took charge of the management of the book store. To inculcate reading habit, I have started
Storytelling session in my book store in November 2018. And conducted 100 books reading challenge for kids aged 3-12 years.
In August 2019 Turning Point organized a mega event exclusively for children “Madurai Children’s Literary Festival’ on August 3rd & 4th at The American College, Madurai. We launched 7 books, arranged Author’s sessions, storytelling sessions, Art therapy workshop, comic strips workshop, Conducted competitions such as Storytelling, become an illustrator and Drama contest for school children.
Participated by 7 Authors, 6 storytellers, 2 illustrators, and one theatre artist. (Thol pavai Koothu)

Our first edition of MCLF was a huge success (conducted on 3 & 4 August 2019 @ The American College).2nd Edition - is scheduled on August 8 & 9, 2020 @ Vallaba Vidyalaya, Madurai.
Our First edition was visited by 30+ schools, 2000+ children and parents. Participated by 15+ Authors, Storytellers, illustrators and theatre artists.
We are expecting 3000+ footfalls this year.
Students, parents, teachers, and schools will be benefited from this event.
