One cannot compare the strength, intelligence, affection and sensitivity of a mother, sister, daughter, or any woman of influence in one’s life. I am a Growth Development Representative based in India. My mother Mrs. Meenu Somani passed away on November 1st 2021, to be one with God, of Cardiac Arrest. During her lifetime, she was not just a homemaker, but a teacher, a visionary, an uplifter of the women around her and always lived with the belief of women being independent and leaders across the world. Sheryl Sandberg said and I quote “We need women at all levels, including the top, to change the dynamic, reshape the conversation, to make sure women’s voices are heard and heeded, not overlooked and ignored.”

MongoDB as a company has demonstrated this far and wide with strong women leaders like Harsha Jalihal, Meghan Gill, Lorna Malone, Erika Ryan to name a few. With this in mind and in honour of Mrs Meenu Somani and all the women, who live for others more than themselves, we are raising funds for a Non Profit- “Milaan” (It means To meet), which envisions an inclusive and equal world and are on a mission to empower 10 million girls across India and build a movement of Girl Leaders by 2030. - Vaibhav Somani
