The strength of Pet Puraan lies in its team, comprising Rafique-da, Noor Bhai, Rahmat, Talim who belong to the low-income segment with roots in remote and under-privileged areas of Bihar and Bengal. The average Zomato rating of above 4 out of 5 and return-customer of almost 98% are proofs of the craftsmanship of the chef and the team who have worked relentlessly to get fresh food prepared and delivered at the doorstep during the first and now the second phase of COVID. Despite business having suffered and a shortage of funds, the Pet Puraan team stepped up its efforts during COVID, providing complimentary meals to children of migrant labourers.
While the team survived the first wave in 2020, Pet Puraan is finding it difficult to afford salaries of its team who are the sole breadwinners for their families back in West Bengal and Bihar. The much-loved food venture stares at a shutdown. Moreover, with the rising prices of essentials, unplanned and sudden lockdowns and increased medical expenses, the team members stand to lose their jobs.
We appeal to you to help us in raising funds to prevent Pet Puraan from going out of business and save the livelihoods of not just the team but the future of their entire families back home. With the money raised, Pet Puraan aims to pay for salaries and take care of medical expenses of the staff and their family and also continue providing meals/ration for covid impact families in the low-income areas of Delhi & Gurgaon.
This is an earnest appeal to help save Pet Puraan and the livelihoods of those who have served you in these difficult times.
