My name is Sundar, and iam from Virudhunagar, Tamilnadu. Like everyone, I started my life happily in my home town, had a job, got married, and have two amazing sons. 2 years ago, i developed a coughing issue, and went on continuously for weeks, inspite of taking medications. Our native doctor referred to a Pulmonologist in Coimbatore, and I came to know that my lungs were scarred. Although doctors gave me medications, and told me to be strong, I knew i was getting into a bad phase of life. Then after 6 months, i developed a Flu Type 1, and my lungs were damaged in a major way. i have interstitial lung diseaseI cudnt breath, neither could speak, eat or sleep. my whole world crashed down. And its been one year and 6 months today, that i carry an oxygen cylinder, which needs to be refilled, ( 2 litres / 3 litres / 5 litres ) every now and then, so I can sit and breath, have food, or try to sleep for couple of hours.
I have lost all my hope, and seeing my wife, children suffer each day, and with nobody to support financially, makes me more miserable. They say that the whole lung transplant is very expensive, and i must take lifelong medications as immunosuppressant.
I never imagined that my life will change so badly and that one fine day, my whole happy world will crash and fall.
I dont know as to how long I can hold on, but i humbly request all the people to donate as much as you can, for my lung transplant. If God gives me a second chance through you all, then i promise i will make the best use of my life and raise my kids ( 12 yr and 7 yr old sons ) with all your blessings.
