Thank you for showing interest in supporting our wedding fundraiser initiative. If you are here, you probably know either one of us or both of us, and that we are getting married in April 2021. When we started our wedding planning, the first thing that we decided was to start a wedding fundraiser to give back to society instead of accepting gifts. We would love to start our married life by making a difference and we appreciate your support towards this initiative.
We firmly believe that access to education is a basic necessity for every child. We have started this fundraiser in Milaap in our attempt to bring a change to the lives of underprivileged children in Tamil Nadu, India.
Instead of gifts, please consider donating to help us:
1. Sponsor a child's lifetime education
We will be sponsoring a child's lifetime education. Sponsoring a child is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. When you sponsor a child in India, you give access to life-changing essentials like clean water, improved nutrition, healthcare, education, and economic opportunity for their parents.
Child sponsorship means that kids are healthy and stay in school. Parents can protect and provide for them. The generational chains of poverty are broken!
Any funds collected through this fundraiser will go towards that in addition to our personal contribution. We will be personally involved in the growth of the child and support expenses related to education and their well-being.
2. Sponsor meals for children at an orphanage in Tamil Nadu
We will be visiting an orphanage to meet, sponsor meals for the children, and spend a day with them.
We wanted to be able to serve an underserved charitable organization which does not have the recognition or any formal supporting platforms. This way, we can personally witness the efforts in action. We will be coordinating with the local small organizations and leading the efforts personally from India. We will keep you posted on our donation efforts here and in the wedding website.
We hope you can support us and this cause by donating to our wedding fundraiser.
