    This fundraiser will benefit

    Sukhendu Baidya

    from Kolkata, West Bengal

Tax benefits for INR donations will be issued by MLPI FOUNDATION

Mr Sukhendu Baidya, a 43 year old man, living in Calcutta, West Bengal, with his aged mother (a diabetic person), has been working at Maharaja Manindra Chandra College, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, for over a decade. He is currently the acting-head-clerk at this educational institute. He was detected with end-stage liver failure, and has been undergoing treatment for the same for the last couple of years. The situation has deteriorated and Mr Baidya requires an immediate liver transplant. The doctors at private hospital, Chennai, have advised that the transplant is done within the next two months (June 2022), as the supporting statement (uploaded below) from the hospital shows. The cost of this critical surgery, along with post operative care, is roughly 35,00,000 INR, a staggering sum that a person from a working class background in India can ill afford. We request donors from around the world to come forward and help Mr Baidya. This surgery is the only way to ensure that Mr Baidya returns to his family and his colleagues, and to a normal, healthy life. We look forward to your generosity.
Thank you.
