My name is Siva Kumar and I am planning to raise funds in order to save my wife Subha, who has been severely affected by Covid -19 and is struggling for her life in ICU. She is 40 years old and a passionate art teacher in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
She got infected 4 weeks ago around May 25th, 2021, and was admitted to the hospital as her oxygen started dropping below 90. She was treated in a hospital at Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore with oxygen support. There she started developing lung Fibrosis, as a covid complication that was not Identified correctly by the doctors on time. After getting treated 3 weeks in hospital, after spending $ 8700 US ( 6.5 Lakhs in rupees), the day she was about to get discharged, her oxygen fluctuated very rapidly and was checked by an external pulmonologist, who identified the Lung fibrosis and asked us to be admitted to the ICU of another hospital immediately.
She is currently admitted and receiving ICU care at RamaKrishna Hospital on June 13th, 2021 cared for by Dr. N. Loganathan MD. She has been moved to ECMO life support. We have spent another $6750 US ( 5 Lakhs in rupees). Every day in the ICU, we are charged Rs.50,000. We have borrowed money from family, friends, taken a loan, and are still suffering to meet the amount needed for treatment. In the coming months, the estimated amount we need is another $27,000 US ( 20 Lakhs in rupees) more for further treatment which includes an extended stay in ICU with ECMO support.
Little about my dear Subha, she is a loving mother of our five-year-old. We waited for almost 10 years and then our most awaited daughter was born as a blessing. My wife’s everything to our daughter. My wife is a talented artist, her passion is art. She is full of energy, life, and passion. She continuously pours her heart and soul into everything she does, she has an infectious smile and the ability to connect with all and she touched the heart of every student, parents, friends, and family she got in touch with. Mrs.Subha has taught close to 1500 students in Arts and Crafts in her teaching career spanning 15 years. Her students have won multiple national and state-level arts competitions.
It was tough for us during the covid-19, pandemic, and business shutting down in India. Our family is small, even though we did not earn much, we still lived our life with love and passion with whatever we could earn. We had big dreams for our daughter, who turns 6 shortly.
We appeal to you to contribute whatever you can, pray for us, and help keep the dream alive for our daughter. My daughter’s dream is to bring her mother home safely.

3) 75 Prizes by Students in State level and National Level Arts competitions in the past 4 years.
