Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay English Medium School is one of the largest schools by student strength in Pune. However, with just 5 teachers across the school of over 700 students, they are heavily understaffed. Upon that, with no technical support or funding for resources, the children have heavily suffered the disastrous consequences of limited zoom times, no network/internet in school, and no digital devices. Their only educational resource to date remains their very limited state government textbooks.
To ensure that they receive the maximum output from all their instructors, the TFI fellows at this school are creating a blended learning center at the school and installing Wi-Fi in the classrooms. This fundraiser would help achieve that dream.
The funds from this initiative will go towards buying webcams, projectors and whiteboards for the classrooms as well as the set-up cost for a school wide Wi-Fi with a year long subscription plan.
