Happy Hearts Montessori School is a 10 year old Montessori Pre-Primary School in the beautiful state of Goa. Started by a team of passionate educational professionals, the school is now facing a hard time due to the ongoing Covid19 Pandemic.

Envisioned as an affordable educational option, that makes the beautiful simplicity of Montessori Education accessible to the masses, the Happy Hearts Montessori School was largely successful in achieving its goal.

Over the course of ten years, it has exposed over eight hundred and fifty children to the wonderful world of Montessori Education and has provided teacher’s training to over 100 Montessori Instructors.

The Happy Hearts Montessori School combines the best of traditional teaching methods and modern and innovative techniques. They were among the first schools in Goa to use interactive touchscreen whiteboards, and many assembly and class concepts are taught using projectors and computers.

Several educational fieldtrips to places like a supermarket, railway station, aquarium, plant nursery, museums etc. help children to get a well rounded foundation of information upon which their further education can be built. Cooking activities and cultural dance and drama training bring about all round development.

Even during this Covid19 Crisis, the teachers and management of Happy Hearts School are working tirelessly, recording concepts and videos to be sent to the students, creating worksheets and completing notebooks which are sent to each of our children, so that their academic year is not wasted.

Unfortunately, we are now facing a hurdle that seems insurmountable, compounding financial difficulties are making it difficult to keep our gates open, putting the jobs of our teachers and future education of our students at risk.

Quote form the Principal Mrs. Christine Alphonso: When the Pandemic first hit us, we realized that we could not continue to take classes In a normal way. Our primary concern was that the education of the children should continue even in this difficult time. We spent a considerable amount to develop an app that could help us send the content that we created to our students, who could download and view it as per their convenience. Even then, there are many parents who are also facing difficulties and troubles, who are unable to make ends meet at this point in time. Many students names were withdrawn, and even though some students are still enrolled, parents are not in a position to pay the fees at this point in time.

The Funds Received will be utilised in the ongoing sustenance of the school over a period of 6-8 months.  The details of Expenses are as follows:
