Project Ex.T.R.A. (Extracurricular Training and Resources for All) is a social initiative that is geared towards promoting extracurricular activities and skill-building among people with disabilities.
In partnership with Udayachal NGO, we offer a diverse range of extracurricular activities. Using our original guide, teachers and other carers begin upon a journey with young people with disabilities to guide them to select the hobbies that are right for them.
Each child has access to an original activity journal which they will fill out themselves or with the help of a carer, which charts their progress, interest levels and other thoughts on the hobbies they are trying out.
To facilitate this, we are now seeking to provide Ex.T.R.A. participants with the resources they need to explore extracurricular activities, from stationery and classroom resources to digital tools such as tablets to access vital online courses.
Our ethos is to expose young people to as many potential activities and skills as possible, and then to support them in narrowing their interests down to projects and activities they truly love and would like to commit to. We hope that this programme will empower young people with disabilities to define their own extracurricular journey and to take ownership of their many fantastic achievements and talents.
Any donations will be gratefully received and will go towards building truly holistic and exciting educational initiatives for young people with disabilities.
