As a NRI from the UK and USA I have always wanted to help people in India. I came over in Jan 2020. The global Covid-19 (Corona) pandemic has been unprecedented and India is now seeing a second wave with a third being forecast by Indian Government medical experts. For the last 14 months I've been helping to feed up to 75 street kids and their families every day in my local City of Adampur, Punjab. I started in Haryana.

I love spending time with the children. Blankets in winter, clothes, shoes and education we have provided. There is zero government help but these guys need help to kept them fed at minimum. People say to me as a NRI I should not take risks. I practice safe protocols but these kids need me and us. They get a hot meal and dessert every day. The funds raised will be used to continue feeding the kids every day and look into phase 2 where I can get the orphan kids who are vulnerable to street predators into safe housing with good conditions. After lockdown we are actively looking to recruit a private teacher so the kids can have a teacher and build towards a better future for themselves and their families.
