The life of a stray dog in India without access to basic needs like food, clean water, shelter, medicine is absolutely horrendous. They are even subjected to cruelty on a regular basis. Sometimes they, especially the little ones come under vehicles due to reckless driving.
Now, we animal lovers try to the best of our ability to make their situation a little better in any way we can. Every year each female dog gives birth to multiple litters and most of the pups die a very painful death coming under the vehicles or die of hunger or diseases. The solution to reducing their suffering is to get them sterilized.
To control their numbers on the streets so that they can be looked after well, we are in desperate need to go for sterilization.
Sterilization by experienced vets will help the fur babies on the streets live healthier and better life.
We are planning to get 12 dogs sterilized from Ashari, Address - Nitai Nagar, Mukundapur, Kolkata, West Bengal - 700099. This process though is very expensive. It costs almost Rs 2500 for each dog to be sterilized, so the total cost would come around Rs 30,000/-. This cost would cover their stay at a local shelter, surgery cost, vets' fees, and post-surgery care till the time they can be released back at the locations they're picked up from.
