Sterilization of dogs is an important issue. “Spaying” is the surgical removal of the reproductive organs of female animals. “Neutering” is the surgical removal of male animal's testicles. This procedure is not abuse.
Animal Birth Control (Dog) Rules 2001, enacted under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act provide for sterilizing and vaccinating as a means of reducing stray dog population and prohibits relocation or throwing out of dogs out of the area where they were born, to another. We don't need to hate them, hit them or throw them away. All they need is a little love and care. We can help this endless cycle of suffering by sterilization of as many dogs as possible. This will also make them less aggressive and control rabies bites in the country. It is a necessity for both dogs as well as humans.
My two partners and I have been working for the welfare of animals for the past 4 years. Recently, we've been focussing on sterilization. This is our 3rd sterilization drive. We always look after the vaccination and treatment of injured dogs on our own expenditure. But sterilization of a lot of dogs costs a lot. It takes Rs 2000 per dog and the anti-rabies vaccination is included in the cost. We need your help. Our poor furry friends need your help.
Every donation counts, no matter how small or big. Thank you <3
