Hello kind humans,
My name is Aakanksha and I am a doctor for humans by profession. I have been working for stray dogs and cats on the streets of India for the past 4-5 years... This includes feeding them a meal a day in probably three different cities with the help of my friend and my family and myself... Getting the dogs and cats SPAYED, NEUTERED, VACCINATED against rabies and diseases like parvo, distemper and leptospirosis etc.
I also coordinate and help out financially for injured dogs and cats from Kolkata..
All this requires a massive amount of mental and physical work as well as too much of financial resources... And I am still in my first year of residency and with so many dogs under my care , I have been feeling a lot overwhelmed because all of this can't be just done by one person's savings.. I thus, ask for help from all of you... Each spay and neutered costs RS 2000 or 27 USD and each sterilization helps millions of dogs and cats wandering on streets of India...
I have more than 12 dogs waiting to travel overseas to get adopted.. I have got about 7 or 8 dogs adopted locally and have gotten more than 500 dogs and 42 cats sterilized in just a year in Kolkata, India...

I plan to send 100 more dogs for spaying and neutering and vaccination... And each spay and vaccination costs about RS 2000 .. So would you all please help me and these dogs by donating any amount suitable to you and help mesave so many homeless sweet lives on cruel streets....???
