In a sheer display of inhumanity, crates of mangoes worth around Rs 30,000 were looted by several people from a street vendor in Delhi’s Jagatpuri area. The incident happened on Wednesday when the mango crates were left unattended by the hawker for a short while.
According to NDTV, Chhote, the fruit-seller, said that the incident took place after a fight broke out in the neighborhood, and at a time when law enforcement agencies are supposed to be on heightened alert to enforce the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.
"I had 15 crates of mangoes here worth about Rs 30,000. They took everything", he said.
Chhote said a complaint has already been filed with the police, but no action has been taken yet.
