Sristi foundation located near Tindivanam, founded by Mr Karthikeyan is home to mentally challenged individuals and those with intellectual disabilities. Sristi strives to ensure an environment wherein intellectually disabled and marginalised non-disabled individuals can live and work together, where everybody is and feels valued and where everybody gets the opportunity to live up to his or her potential and to lead a dignified and holistic life in self-sustainability!

Sristi self-sustains mainly by organic farming on the 9 acre land they have set up base in. Extensive input, in terms of man and machine at the right time of the year is required to get good produce from the lands. We are planning to give Sristi a tilling machine to improve the effectiveness in land preparations before sowing of the crops. The machine will help them save time, reduce the manual labour involved and renting of preparation equipments like tractors and tillers from other sources. The cost of machine is close to 1.7 lacs and after subsidy is around 1.2 lacs. This fundraiser is to crowd-fund the requisite amount to purchase the tiller ASAP.
