Donate towards the 'A Song for Syria', an initiative by Odd Books

'A Song for Syria' is a project that even ambition will be humble to admit... a dream that puts between covers poetry, fiction, art, songs and interviews of Syrian artistes - voices that have risen over bomb smoke, art that has been dipped in blood.

Syria, the land of the greatest man-made tragedy of our times, needs our attention and we at the Odd Books intend to pay our Salute to these squads who are scribbling away in cells and otherwise, taking bullets and smirking through it all. We have a dream... print, events and more.

And the dream needs you.

Our Target amount is 1000 USD/ 60,000 INR.

Those who will be supporting the initiative with 25 USD or more/ INR 1,000 or more will receive a copy of the publication.

Those who would donate a higher amount would be helping us in offering the book at a subsidised rate to those who cannot afford to pay. The intention is to spread to collection to the widest possible readership.

Those who would be supporting the initiative with 10 - 24 USD or 500-999 INR will receive a set of mini-cards.

E-books will be sent to all who support the initiative with whatever they are capable of.

Please note: The publication and events will be possible only if the required funds are raised. Be kind and generous :)

After the funds are raised, the process starts rolling and there will be a considerable wait time (six months) before you can see your contributions come to fruition. We are a couple of people working to our best abilities, and perfection takes time, and the cards are on the table.

Being greedy this birthday, ain't I ? ;)

The Odd Magazine began in 2012 with the vision to celebrate alternate creative arts across the globe. From then till now through 18 issues it has remained true to the #StayOdd mantra and has proudly published literature and art of the eminent and the aspiring that stands out and is fearless. In 2018 we forayed into print minis with Odd Books and enjoyed a successful year featuring art-text collaborations covering 7 countries.

And now it's time for Syria.

Y'all, do the thing. #StayOdd
