Story

While we are severely affected by COVID-19 pandemic and under the lockdown situation across the world, there are people still out there in public who are homeless and nothing to feed, like  the daily wagers, migrant workers, cleaning staff and so on who have a hard time living. The Government is trying to provide them better care and food. There are several helping hands in the form of Community Kitchens working under local authorities, NGOs, charity organizations etc as well. But still it’s not sufficient to feed all the tummies.

We, the members of the Malliyur Temple Sthanam Trust (a body formed for running the daily activities of Malliyur SreeDurga Temple situated in Thrissur, Kerala) has personally decided join the fight against the pandemic. We are contributing to give homeless people a helping hand. We are distributing food packets to the needy ones, providing Temple facility as a shelter and also collecting medicine and sanitizing items to distribute. We are also planning to contribute to the Community Kitchens working under local authorities all across Kerala. We hope that our humble effort will help atleast someone feel better.

We are also running a Fundraising Campaign for those well-wishers who are willing to contribute. The 50% of the funds raised will be used to buy materials and the balance amount will be handed over  to the Community Kitchen. Thank you!
