Sirisha Rehabilitation Center (SRC) is a voluntary service organization registered under Society Act (2004), the focus of SRC is working for Children with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities and other associated disabilities. The founders daughter being an MR child remained the inspiration for starting the organization and the organization is funded mostly from their own salaries till date. Recently SRC entered its 18th year and the Children with special needs are growing, in this backdrop the SRC want to start a new initiative that focus on early interventions by early identification of such disabilities among children and also in pregnant mothers. The funding raised will be used by the organization to support this initiative.

Core Values of Sirisha Rehabilitation Center
Genesis: The presence of a child with special needs in the family demands for special environment which should be barrier free for better access and utilization. Sirisha Rehabilitation Centre (SRC) is established in the year 2004 as a voluntary service organization to work for the rehabilitation of several such God gifted children as an empowerment with equality, equity, respect and dignity as a right.Vision: Persons with Disabilities should live in the same community like their counterparts with equality, equity, dignity, and respect as a Right.
Mission: To work for the holistic development of the Persons with Intellectual & Developmental Disability and other associated Disabilities living in vulnerable circumstances by providing training and rehabilitation services covering Social, Medical, Education, Economic & Developmental Areas,
Targeted Groups: The majority of the targeted groups for whom SRC is working are poor, marginalized, and vulnerable with several challenges living in rural villages covering parts of Krishna and its surrounding Districts of Andhra Pradesh, India. The targeted groups include: Children with Special Needs, Persons with Intellectual Disabilities & Developmental Disabilities, Old Parents, Senior Citizens with Disabilities, Old Aged Citizens who are unable to meet there daily food expenses.

Projects by Sirisha Rehabilitation Center
SRC has been operating majorly in the following areas during the current year 2022 – 2023, which are need based and are shown below:1) Sirisha Disha cum Vikaas Centre (Special School for Differently abled Children): At SRC we bring Children in our own School Vans to our Special School for the Children (in the age group of 6 - 18 years) with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and other associated disabilities. SRC has got suitable environment with facilities to provide need based services and supports to the Beneficiaries on both residential and day care basis with better protection and security. Currently we have 8 Special B.E.D Teachers , 3 Drivers , 5 Supporting staff working in our Organization.



Currently we have 100+ Children being benifited from our Schools in aspects such as:
- Special Education with supporting Services covering Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Daily Physiotherapy Sessions.
- Speech & Communication therapy.
- Behavior management.
- Vocational guidance.
- Parent Counselling and Training Program.
- Continues Medical Support.
- Free Nutritious Food distribution




3) Food Distribution to Old Aged Citizens: At SRC Daily we distribute Food in Hot packs specially cooked and packed at our centers to Senior Citizens to almost 10+ Villages and 50+ vulnerable and isolated Senior citizens who are unable to cook or meet their daily Food expenses. We started this program in Covid 19 pandemic and continuing the food distribution even post pandemic based on the situation and need. We provide the following facilities to the Senior citizens:
- Nutritious Food packed in hot Packs for Lunch and Dinner.
- Medial camps and free medicine distribution.
- Clothing distribution based on requirement.
- Other basics needs based on the feedback from our food distributing volunteers.






Utilization of Funds Raised
1) 30 new Children added to hostel facilityLast month we have 30 new orphan children who are Differently abled, Hearing Impaired, physically handicapped added to our Hostel facility. This was beyond our yearly budget capabilities, so we came forward to raise funds through this platform for the children.

The funds will be utilized for the following causes.
We plan to increase our reach of free Food distribution for the needy old aged people to 30+ villages and target to provide daily food to 150+ senior citizens. We have identified many such vulnerable Senior citizens through our survey and we are planning to increase our kitchen capacity to cook for 300+ people daily. Currently we cook food daily for around 150 people(90+ Special children, 50+ senior citizens, 10 Supporting staff).
- 2 Special Educator and 4 supporting staff to be newly hired for the increased Hostel strength.
- Clothing expenses, beds, books, basic needs for all the 30 children.
- Medical tests, Medicine distribution for the entire year as most of them are with permanent health conditions.
- Nutritious Food for the Hostel facility for the entire year.
- Need for Physiotherapist and Speech therapist.

We would like to start new project called Early Intervention Program by targeting high risk new borns and pregnant mothers to identify the disabilities at an early stage and to help them minimise the risk as they grow up.

5) To construct additional Building with matching Infrastructure for centralized Hostel facility and Day care Special school.
6) To develop Home for Old aged People including Seniors with Disabilities.
7) To Support & Facilitate for Employment / Livelihoods / Income Generation / Micro entrepreneurship for Specially abled citizen.
