During this unprecedented crisis of countrywide lock-down, we all have a chance to reach out to the people who are suffering the most. There is a large population for whom ration shops are still a privilege. I am working with a few of my very trusted and known friends/ family members who are reaching out to such people in the interiors to distribute them Dal chawal, soaps and very basic amenities.

1. Prerana Choudhury  & Dweep Raj are working to help people in interior villages of lower Assam to get weekly ration as they do not have the means to visit ration shops.

2. Anup Bose is doing the same in the outskirts of West Bengal - Kalyangarh. He is also helping in relief camps in Ashoknagar township.

3. Also a Facebook group Bengalis in Bangalore (BiB) is trying to coordinate with people who came to Bengaluru from rural WB in search of critical treatments and are now stuck inside guest houses with no food and very little money with daily bills to pay for their stay.

We do not have any political affiliation. We are not experienced NGOs as well. The money we receive will be distributed to these three initiatives based on need. There are absolutely no middlemen, no processing fees and we are paying out of our pockets to make sure the transport and other logistics are covered along with our own contribution.

This is purely a humanitarian call to get the poor their basic 'do waqt ka khana'.
