THE GARDENS OF SOPHIA MAHA SHAKTI DHUNI:

After the passing of my Beloved daughter Alexandra, in late December of 2019, I was divinely guided to have a Dhuni (sacred fire) built in my room in Haidakhan, Uttarkhand in the Himalayas of Northern India. It was constructed in the ancient way utilizing mud, cow dung and the holy riverbed stones from the sacred Gautami Ganga river that flows through my ancient village.

I waited for nearly a year for Navaratri, the 9 day celebration of the Divine Mother, that began on October 17th and went thru October 26th 2020, as the special occasion to consecrate the sacred Dhuni. The Pandit of Haidakhan, and/or his son Lalit, came daily during this auspicious festival to ignite the sacred fire and offer 6 divine pujas, including one for each Goddess being honored and celebrated that day.  A divine Havan Yagya ceremony was offered afterwards. A Yagya is a vedic offering of fruits, seeds, rice, incense, flowers, ghee, and spices to the Divine Mother in the form of fire, a ritual which the Ancient Indian Holy Scriptures (Vedas) prescribed for a Dharmic life.

A SACRED DHUNI:

Sri Haidakhan Babaji (also known as Mahavatar Babaji, the Immortal Master of the Himalayas) reinforced this powerful practice and He himself performed 147 big yagyas in many provinces of India, which blessed the country and the whole world. Babaji's devotees all over the world perform Yagyas as part of their sadhana (spiritual practice) so many people and places have the opportunity to be blessed by the divine vibrations of the Sacred Fire.

Haidakhan Babaji, during his last appearance (1970-1984), said about Yagya:
"I want to tell you the meaning of the Yagya (Havan ceremony). Havan it is that brings rain, which brings grain. The origin of Creation stems from the havan. The havan is the real form of the Gods; whatever we offer to the havan goes directly to the Gods who are being invoked.

"By doing havan, people gain happiness and all the pleasures of life; they all have good thoughts and love for each other. By the smoke from the havan the harmful germs in the atmosphere are destroyed and the good bacteria, useful to life, grow in it. This increases the prosperity of the world.

"Before starting any work, you should first know the significance of it. You may be wondering why these people are burning the fire and 'wasting' things by throwing them into the fire. It has great significance: Creation originated from this."

The sacred fire of the Dhuni brings healing, transformation and awakening to the body-mind and nurtures the soul. As an ancient ritual it brings great purification and assists aspirants to realize their union between the human microcosm and the cosmic macrocosm. Meditation with the Dhuni brings about a profound deepening of the Self Realization process, while revealing ever more subtleties, which rise to the surface for transformation. Over time the practitioner is rid of psychological, mental and emotional trauma.

The sacred Dhuni represents Mother Earth, from whose womb all life is born. A Dhuni therefore represents a site of worship dedicated to the Mother Goddess - Shakti, from which all manifestation is generated, sustained and destroyed. In homage to Her womb which gave us all life, the Dhuni is shaped in a similar fashion.

A follower of Haidakhan Babaji, Hindu Sage Shastiji, said: "In ancient India, the Rishis guarded their sacred fire most carefully and kept it clean, as it was believed to be residence of divinity. Sitting by the Dhuni purifies ones vibrations. This you can find out for yourself. Whenever you have any kind of trouble, go to the Dhuni, and let it give you solace and uplift your spirit."

DONATE TO KEEP THE SACRED FIRE BURNING:

The Gardens of Sophia Maha Shakti Dhuni temple will utilize your divine love offerings to keep the sacred fire burning throughout the year. It requires firewood, puja offerings such as incense and prasaad, as well as the supplies required for the sacred Havan Yagyas, which will be offered each morning by Sophia, beginning on the morning of Diwali, November 14, 2020.

Those of you who feel a resonance with this wonderful fire temple of the Mother, and wish to donate, will receive the gracious blessings of the Maha Shakti Dhuni and will surely feel Her sacred transformative fire burning in your heart. Everyone who offers a donation will be included in the daily Havan Yagya ceremonies. It's a divine way to offer your love and support and receive gracious Haidakhandian blessings from the Mother.

The Gardens of Sophia Maha Shakti Dhuni is located in holy Haidakhan Vishva Mahadham, Uttarkhand, in the foothills of the Himalayas, at the base of the Holy Mount Kailash, on the banks of the sacred Gautami Ganga river, in Northern India. It is surrounded by the Haidakhan ashram on all sides.
