Story

Hi my name is Sonia(aka Sri Radhika Dasi) and I am a social activist, especially in the field of Girls Education. I have worked in this field for the past 10 years and have worked alongside Bollywood actors' NGOs Eg: She, Project Devi etc collaborating with FFLV India. However my passion for working at the grassroots has driven me to a small school (Braj Gopika Vidya Mandal) in a rented house in the remote village of Nandgaon(Uttar Pradesh). They have about 150 girls attending, receiving good quality education, nutritious meals, and vocational training in fields like music, dance, drama, painting, embroidery, self defence and yoga. This is a school run by Krish- The NGO and I have chosen to volunteer for them.

They need urgent funding to set up a well equipped computer lab for the girls with proper internet which is a challenge in this remote village. The estimated cost is coming to around INR 5,50,000. If they are able to set this computer lab it will be like a dream come true.

They also need funding to provide  2 sets of uniform for summer, winter and sports, course books, stationary, notebooks etc along with proper library with book by next year for these girls. The cost is around INR 3,50,000.

They wish to extend proper services to these girls however they feel very limited in our resources. The girls are extremely talented and even with such limited resources at the moment, they are already becoming very well known. For example, a couple of songs sung by the school girls are already viral on Facebook and Youtube: Listen to Hey Prabhu Listen to Lalaji Meri

They have so much potential. Please help us continue their education through your contribution !
