We are Social Endeavour Group from T A Pai Management Institute Manipal, Karnataka. On the occasion of Daan Utsav, we are planning to conduct a fair for kids of government school in which they can buy items they always wished for. We also intend to teach them money management skills through this event.
SEG at TAPMI strongly believes in the philosophy of, “Do what you can with what you have, where you are. "In order to inculcate money management skills in students, team SEG in collaboration with VSO, MAHE, is planning to conduct a Personality Development Fair in Manipal in the first week of October 2019, as part of DaanUtsav.
DaanUtsav, earlier called Joy of Giving Week (JGW), is India’s very own festival of giving. It aims to spread love, joy, and happiness among those who are underprivileged, and for each one of us to experience the joy in giving. By participating in this fair, students will be able to apply concepts of money management and decision making in a simulated market fair. It will also give an opportunity to underprivileged children to experience shopping in malls and fulfill their dreams. Just like a real market, we will arrange stalls and provide them fake currency to shop and also give them lessons on money management.
We are targeting 500 underprivileged students from government schools in and around Udupi. We are intending to give them a valuable learning experience while keeping in mind the theme of DaanUtsav
No contribution is small. Please contribute to bring smile on a child’s face
