Help Somasundarams In Rehabilitation

Hi, My name is Venkatsubramanian Thyagarajan and I am raising funds for the rehabilitation of my brother, Somasundaram Thyagarajan

Mr Somasundaram is a chronic case of a complex mental disorder ‘Schizophrenia’ since the past 30 years – He is unmarried. He has been under the care of the following rehabilitation homes in the past:
  • Cadabams Bangalore
  • Family Fellowship Society
He had been admitted to Family Fellowship society a non-profitable service organization for the rehabilitation of persons with mental illness, service provided by their families with mental illness.

As Somasundaram has to be under constant medication, he is not in a position to earn a livelihood of his own and needs rehabilitation in a controlled environment.

Though I am doing everything I can to help Somasundaram, I, myself had a brain haemorrhage last year, which eroded my finances.

In addition, I have a differently abled son who needs special care.

The funds raised will be used to re-admit Somasundaram to a non-profit rehabilitation center.

Dear Supporters,

This is further to my last update. We have been able to raise INR 1,27,370/- till date. This would not have been possible without your benevolence, support and good wishes. My sincere gratitude to each one of you !

We have narrowed down on a new rehab home in Bangalore, which will be managed by a well-known psychiatrist Dr Lakshman who is also known to my wife. The home is scheduled to open on 10 February – we shall be completing the admission formalities of Somasundaram by 15 February.

I shall keep you updated on the developments.
