In response to the Covid-19 crisis, India has imposed one of the longest and strictest lockdowns anywhere in the world. While the lockdown may have been effective in managing the spread of Covid-19 cases, it will be devastating to forget that India’s hunger situation was dire even before the lockdown was enforced.
In India more than 44% of people are living under the claws of absurd poverty. Though government and many other organisations are helping improve the situation, but obviously its not sufficient to save everyone. It is super hard to reach out to the rural poor since around 70% of India's population resides in rural areas where there are not sufficient resources even for rich.
We have started a small initiative to provide ration, medical and sanitary kits to the less privileged section of our society.
In 2020 lockdown, we were able to provide ration kits/medical kits/sanitary kits to more than 10k families residing at different parts of the country. We also opened mini kitchens to provide two time healthy meals to the children residing in the slums of Delhi.
This time we wish to do the same and make sure no one sleeps hungry around us.
Let's stand together to help our people in this dreadful time once again and contribute our bit.
