For almost 4 decades, Rehmat has been the guardian of the Snooker Room, Head Coach, and Jester-in-chief. We've all seen how Rehmat has always given us a lot but asked for very little in return. Well, here's our chance to return the favor!
Rehmat's snooker story is one of passion and broken dreams. He recounts that he was a strong player in his younger days with aspirations to compete nationally. But the label of a marker, work responsibilities, and the financial needs of running a family held him back. You'd expect him to feel angry and spiteful, but he's always described his challenges with a smile on his face.
Above all else and beyond his talents, Rehmat has always been a nice guy. Humble, honest & funny. There never was and there never will be another Rehmat. And we must do our bit to pay our gratitude.
While you consider your contribution, think about this: when I mentioned the idea about a farewell fundraiser to Rehmat before he retired, all he said was "Bhagwan aapka bhala karega".
