Dear Friends,
My name is Sivashankar Ramamurthy and I’m 34 years old. I live in Vellore, Tamil Nadu with my family. I’m here to raise funds for my medical expenses. In 2017, I was diagnosed with the failures of both my kidney and after few months of dialysis, my dad donated his kidney and saved my life. The first transplant was done in December 2017 and I was perfectly fine after that until June 2021.
My health conditions deteriorated and after multiple visits and tests to the specialists, it was diagnosed that the only kidney which was functioning until now failed and I must go for another kidney transplant. I’m fortunate enough to get a donor this time too, but my medical expenses are piling up and I'm unable to bear the cost.
I’m on dialysis now which is a painful process and will be receiving a second kidney transplant from Fortis Malar Hospital, Adayar, Chennai. I have so far spent around Rs.6,00,000 from my savings and loans and I’m in need of Rs.20,00,000 to continue with my treatment and transplant.
