38-year-old Siva Sirigudi, an enthusiastic, happy-go-lucky and extremely active human being hail from Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh. He works for an MNC in Nagpur and a sole income earner in his family, while his parents own a very small-scale business. Happily married a few months back, he fell prey to the gruesome second wave of COVID19. He fought COVID19 bravely and the battle went on in the ICU for more than a month. All this while, his family wished for only one thing - to take their child home, safe and sound. Though their wish came true, it was short-lived.

Reality hit different when within 2 months of recovery, he was detected with Mucormycosis, commonly referred to as “Black fungus”, which is a rare fungal disease with a high mortality rate and is a rare form of chronic obstructive lung disease. He was admitted for surgery to recover from “Black fungus” on June 18, 2021, at Royal Pearl Hospital, Trichy, TN and was discharged on 6th July 2021 after a 75% successful surgery. Since the hospital was expensive, Siva was brought back to his hometown for treatment at a budget hospital. He is currently admitted to Kamineni Health Care Pvt Ltd hospital, Vijaywada, AP (his fourth hospital since COVID19 infection).

Before discharge, the MRI revealed that he still has the black fungus on the left side of the brain and is slowly spreading in the blood. Doctors say that it will damage his brain and the overall body if not treated ASAP. The fungus on the left side of the brain cannot be treated via the surgical procedure and a rare vial (AmBisome®) needs to be injected for a cure. He needs continued treatment to survive. Post-COVID complications have now turned into a nightmare for Siva and the family as he is in Stage 4 of this deadly medical condition.

His family, friends and colleagues have already spent ~28+ lakh on his initial medical and hospitalization expenses. Siva and his family are completely exhausted with their funds. He is left with nothing and is struggling to save himself now. He needs your help! Only YOU can help Siva don a smile and bring him back on track. He needs at least 20 lakhs to repay his debts and continue the medical expenses with ease.
