One such case is 24-year old Sirisha Devendar's. Her husband lost his battle and succumbed to the virus, leaving behind a 15-day old boy, a two-year-old girl, and his ailing mother.
He fought until his lungs went to nearly zero% functioning and some of his organs having clotted. After having a glimpse of his day-old baby for once, he bid goodbye to the family, while Sirisha, was still recovering from labor pains in another hospital.
This sweet little family who used to themselves contribute whatever they could, towards the welfare of other orphans, is now in a plight that would bring tears to anyone who understands their situation today.
While grieving, the young widow Sirisha is desperately looking for some help in paying off the loans of about Rs.6 lacs that she borrowed for her husband’s treatment, apart from worrying about the future of her little kids with not much family support.
