Shrirama Vidyalaya is a government-aided higher primary school in Sulkeri Village of Belthangadi Taluk, Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka. Due to lack of support to infrastructure and learning facilities upgrade, the school saw decline over the years. In march 2019, there were just 38 students in the school.
The local youth realised the need for upgradation of the school, formed committee under the guidance and new management of Vidyavardhaka Sangha. Within 3 months of the formation of the new committee, the admissions went up to 320 while the management was expecting it to be around 100! There is already a demand from local community to start the high school!

With this sudden and positive development, the funding needs have escalated sharply and for the next 2-3 years, management is not in a position to seek higher fees from students. It requires funding support from corporates, NGOs, individuals and volunteer groups.
