This is Mr. Shavwir Alam. You might see him at the Rohini East metro station during office hours, waiting expectantly to take people back home after a long day at work. He will always see you off with a warm smile and a warmer Khush'aamdid or Shukriya.
He's been doing this for years now, ferrying people from my colony, a kindred and familiar face. Mr. Alam is 48 years old now. His legs don't work like they used to before and he probably won't sweep you off your feet with his service, especially with the faster and cheaper E rickshaws competing with him. It has become very hard to make ends meet and he hardly has any money left after having spent all his saving on his daughters' weddings. The solution is simple and you could help!
HELP MR ALAM PURCHASE AN E RICKSHAW. An E rickshaw's cost ranges from INR 1.1-1.5 lakh. The money raised shall go towards buying his E rickshaw and act as a collateral for loan for the leftover amount.
