Neelakantam fought for nearly 3 weeks in ICU on life support before losing to COVID19. He breathed his last on 1st May, 2021 @ Nikhil Neuro Hospital at Just 45 years of age leaving behind a totally shattered family with a wife who has been critical ailment survivor requiring constant medical examinations and interventions and growing young children with ever mounting educational expenses.

Neelakantam hailed from a family of meagre means, based out of a remote village in Warangal District of Telangana. Known to his friends and family as 'Kantam', his calm demeanor, cool headedness and that smile on his face inspite of many struggles will be surely missed by all. He was sole earner of his family of 5 comprising of aging mother, wife Sharada, two young children (daughter 13years, Son 9 years) and dependent siblings. To add to misery, his income has been significantly hit by COVID for the past 12 months and now the family is left with huge hospital bill, unpaid home loan and numerous other critical expenses.
