Story

My name is Siddharth Gautam. My mother, Shanti Sanyal, has been a very kind and generous lady throughout her life helping people known as well unknown with cash and kind. The lady who is a hope for many  is fighting Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia. It started off with severe breathlessness, fatigue and low platelet count which eventually led to the diagnosis of this rare kind of blood cancer.

She’s undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospitals, Bengaluru, India. The doctors say that there is a 60% chance for a complete cure after 6-8 months of chemotherapy and other forms of treatment.

We are clinging on to the 60% chance of survival; we can’t lose her, but the bills, which estimate up to INR 80 Lakhs to 1 crore are too high for us to pay. Our combined family earnings aren’t enough to arrange for so much money.

Our world came crashing down on hearing that she has cancerous cells in her blood. Blood cancer is killing our mother, and the cost of treatment is slowly killing us.  We recently got her blood transfused.

We’ve pledged all our savings, borrowed loans from our friends for all the treatments and tests that have been carried out till now. The bills for the complete course of treatment are way out of our league, and we in dire need of your generosity.

We request you to come forward and support us to collectively win this battle.

We want her back, healthy, running around the house, leading her regular life, holding the crazy family together. We need and want her!

You can find details and other information regarding the patient and disease below.

We thank you for your kindness and support from the bottom of our hearts.

With Heartfelt Deepest Gratitude

Siddharth Gautam
