Hello everyone,
Nidhi and Gaurav here. After spending years mostly apart, we are super excited to finally get married. Our wedding is just around the corner and you might have found this page through one of us.
We want to thank you for the love, support and kindness you have shared with us over the years. It has truly helped shape us into who we are today. The goodness in your heart has reached us either directly from you or indirectly through others we know and is part of the reason the two of us found each other and built our relationship together.
We believe a lot of our lives have been made possible because of the education we received, and the environment we received it in. We have been truly privileged in all this and especially in the form of encouragement we received to pursue education at all levels. We also feel that due to factors outside their control, many children in our country miss out on the same schooling opportunities. We wanted to commemorate the beginning of our married life with a small effort towards improving this.
We know that an Indian wedding can be an extravagant celebration with lots of gifts. We do not wish for anything from our beloved family and friends other than a place in their hearts, and their continued love and support to celebrate this special occasion. However, if you want to gift us something more, we are setting up this fundraiser for you to donate towards the education of underprivileged children in Delhi. We want to share the same love and kindness we have received from all of you with others.
We found Shanti Sahyog (https://shantisahyog.org/) which is an NGO based out of Delhi and works to support education of children living in slums. The donations would be used to pay for providing school education to children who have difficulty finding the money or resources to fund their own schooling, books and stationary through their “sponsor a child” program.
Please consider donating to Shanti Sahyog and help create a better future for these children and for our country.
