GirlUp Nayaab, a part of the Girl Up campaign by the United Nations Foundation, is an officially recognized student association in Shaheed Rajguru College Of Applied Sciences For Women (University Of Delhi). Founded in August 2020, it is now a group of 40 insightful changemakers who constantly work towards organizing diverse programs to educate our community on the same in the most effective and interesting ways. The motto of our club is Empower | Educate | Encourage.
In just a few months of its existence, Girl Up Nayaab has raised awareness about 5 broad topics, conducted 7 informative webinars with the best professionals, 3 highly needed public campaigns, and sensitized over 5000 people. Girl Up Nayaab is always at the forefront when it comes to talking about much-needed but less-talked-about aspects such as Women's Healthcare, Workplace stress, Nutritional needs of women, Important laws and rights, Women at the Workplace, and Sex education.
How org is helping as relief work- Girl Up Nayaab has partnered with NGO Shakti Shalini which shelters and works for the welfare or sexual violence survivors. The NGO also provides skill training to the women to make them independent. Girl Up Nayaab will be contributing to the good cause by acting as the medium of raising funds for the organization.
Utilization of funds- The funds will be solely used for the purpose of the welfare of the beneficiaries of the NGO. Sanitary, hygiene, food, stationery, clothing, and other products will be bought and donated to Shakti Shalini through the money raised.
Each rupee counts no matter what life is to be saved so it's everyone's responsibility, Your Small Help Can Change the Children's life.
