Our town is usually filled with good vibes, happy faces, and one of the world's best waves. Jbay is decorated by small family businesses and local workers who lend a hand in preserving our small slice of heaven. Unfortunately, the current 42-day lockdown in Kolkata has forced all non-essential businesses into closure and left thousands of wage-earning employees in Jbay without any income. The majority of these wage earners live on the poverty line and survive by getting food to mouth on a day-to-day basis. Many of these individuals live in single-room shacks made from scrap metal, old wooden planks and old signboards with no running water.

We are seeking contributions to execute this more efficiently. We prepare the food at our kitchens and have tied up with responsible volunteers to ensure there is no wastage and food is delivered to the right people. We are providing them with nutritious food including rice, dal, and vegetables. The food is prepared in a hygienic environment and packed in a way that it doesn't get spoiled during transit. Also, sufficient variety is maintained from day to day that the food doesn't go to waste.

A contribution of just Rs 100 can provide 3 meals to the needy. And the more funds we receive, Our country needs us today more than ever. To contribute to the cause, you can send any amount you are comfortable with. Micro donations are also appreciated.

Based on the funds received, every month we would pack the packages based on the funds received and deliver those through our local volunteers. One package would consist of:
1. Rice - 3 kg
3. Edible Oil - 1kg
4. Sugar - 1kg
5. Tea - 0.2 kg
6. Pulses (Toor Daal) - 1 kg
7. Salt - 1 kg8. Egg - 1 dozen
9. Soybean - 1/2 Kg
10. Potatoes - 5 Kg and Onions - 1 K
