Suddenly 3 months back he had severe headache and an episode of fits and was diagnosed to have a very rare brain cancer - named as Glioma, which was pressing the brain causing intolerable headache, fever and walking disturbances. He had to undergo 4 surgeries in brain at a tertiary care centre at Madurai (near by his home town).
Since the tumour is a fast spreading one and it had spread to covering layer of brain and to spine, he was admitted at Chennai Apollo. There another surgery was done to remove the tumour fully and after that now the poor boy is undergoing chemotherapy. He has been through immense physical pain at such a tender age.
Totally 10 cycles of chemotherapy should be given for him and till now 5 cycles have been given.
They have been advised that a specialized medicine is available for this type of cancer - which costs around 25L but the family cannot afford to get that treatment.
He has 1 younger sibling 2 yrs old sister and his mother has a history of neurological disorder with episodes of convulsions and unconsciousness and is taking treatment for that. Due to the care needed, his father couldn't go for work. Earlier, he was doing some local jobs and was earning meagre amount and now he cant go for work since he has to take care of his kid too.
Economically the family is in a very poor state now and the kids grandparents only supporting them and now for treatment also they have sold their little land in their native place and trying to meet the expenses and they are struggling hard to see him healthy.
This crowdfunding is mainly aimed to help the child survive with further treatment and to lead his life free from pain and sufferings. Already the kid suffered a lot for the past 4 months and he underwent 5 surgeries in brain till now and undergoing chemotherapy too. His pain couldn't be expressed in words. His body has become very weak and he lost neck control too.
Let us all lend a helping hand to this kid so that he would be able to get the treatment necessary and get back to being healthy and lead a normal child hood. It would really help the family's wish to see him fully recovered and active as before.
