Anita Saini, from Sirsa, an International Karate championship gold medallist and three times gold medal winner in the National Judo championship has started this fundraisers. She won her 1st state-level gold medal at the age of 11 in 1995, coming from a very conservative family in the small city of Haryana. She and her family had to fight against many barriers in terms of financial difficulties and society's negative outlook toward girls playing sports. Her hard work and perseverance won three gold medals at the national level and eight medals at the state level. She is also a Blackbelt and has won the gold medal in the International Karate championship in May 2012. In addition, she holds the Limca book of records for punching over a thousand times in nine minutes.

For over a decade, she has been teaching judo, self-defense, and martial arts. Five to ten of her students are selected for national and international tournaments every year.

She herself along with four of her students (2 girls and 2 boys) have been selected for the International Championship In hand-to-hand fight in Uzbekistan. All of these students come from underprivileged backgrounds. She needs assistance in raising funds for two students, Seema and Priya.


Seema won a national medal in the Hand-to-Hand competition at Lucknow in March 2022. In addition, she has won gold and silver medals in the All India Martial Arts Championship and Haryana State Karate Championship. She has been selected for the world championship but needs Rs.150000. A casual worker, her father earns 350 per day, and her mother is a housemaid. All they have is Rs. 25000, which is their life savings.

From school age, Priya has been playing judo and has won gold medals at both the national and state levels. She also won a national medal in the Hand-to-Hand competition in Lucknow in March 2022. Her father works in casual labor on a farm and her mother is ill. All they have is Rs. 15000, which is their life savings.  

As mentioned in the letter of sports federation of India the fund will be utilized for registratiom, return air fare, visa fees, travel insurance, accomodation, food and training kit.
