Scooter’s litter, including his siblings Bo, Kaya, Ori and Daria were rescued from a shelter in 2019. They were only 2 months old then, and they all suffered from problems with their hind legs, which made it difficult to walk. Scooter’s condition seemed to be the worst of the group. Ori and Daria passed away within a few days of the rescue operation, due to their weak immunities. Kaya and Bo were adopted, and Scooter was left alone. He has come a long way since that fateful day in 2019 when he was discarded like a used rag outside a shelter and left to die.
Scooter, now over 2 years old, has been at two foster homes since then. He received a cart from Animal Care Zone to help his muscles and improve mobility, but after after several sessions of TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) physio, hydro, laser therapy and supplements, he is able to walk without the the cart. He is now able to support himself on all fours, and also walk and run for a few minutes.
YOU made it possible for Scooter to get so far. YOU've been with us since the beginning - advising, suggesting, and helping us pay for Scooter's expenses. Thanks to your kindness, Scooter is now able to walk and run for short intervals. However, we have had ZERO leads for his adoption in India and are looking at a foreign adoption for him. This is why we’re collaborating with Underdog International, an adoption agency based in the United Kingdom, in hopes of taking him home. We are hopeful of finding an adoptive family for Scooter out there; one that could adequately care for him in terms of nutrition, exercise, therapy and supplements. Outside India, he will also receive better, advance vet care for his condition. Please consider chipping in any amount that you can - every penny will go towards helping him.
Please consider helping Scooter one more time, so that he can fly to his forever home soon.
