It is a joint initiative by Jignesh Mevani (Member of Legislative Assembly for Vadgam Legislative Assembly Constituency) and The Red Cycle. The Red Cycle is a grassroots movement that addresses various issues around menstruation and menstrual health through knowledge sharing and action.
The project on ground, that would last for six months starting from February 2021, involves undertaking a need assessment in the areas of water and sanitation, school infrastructure and other educational support.
Upon selecting the schools, the project would liaison the ground efforts with the appropriate authorities in order to catalyse the administrative processes involved.
Through Apni Toh Pathshala we aim to ensure water connection, uninterrupted water supply, water tank, pipes, safe and clean toilet, availability of toiletries, access to safe drinking water etc. along with meeting educational needs such as library space, sports materials, uniform, books among others.
You are integral to identifying and implementing this vision! Your donations will enable The Red Cycle to place a Field Associate and a Field Assistant for a period of 6 months (February to July 2021) - who will visit the schools to assess their needs and appraise the decision makers and stakeholders regarding the need of urgent intervention.
