    SCHOOL CHILDREN

    from Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Hello,
We are Khushi Patel, and Tenzin Noryang, teen fellows of Orikalankini 's 13 week fellowship.

We are making a comic style book for teens with 20 stories of lived experiences of both Indian and Tibetan Women, queer folks and men who are survivors of incest, sexual abuse, domestic violence. We also have stories of broken relationships that turned into friendships and stories of well negotiated bounadaries!
           They are sensitively written illustrated stories that help teens learn about the issues without being preached to. They look at the survivors life more than the abuse or assault.AND they are beautifully illustrated !

         They will be ready by 15th November 2020 published as KDP , available in paperback and kindle format!
Please have a look at the proposal and email us if you would like to have a copy or two for your school, library or loved ones. Each book is priced at 299 INR ( pre booking rates ) , these pre ordered copies help us pay the illustrator and editor.

We have a goal of reaching maximum number of schools in India and hence are self publishing this but wel need your help.
We also have a crowd fund platform to offer these books to schools who cannot afford it. Please donate generously.
Hope you will free the children you care for from both denial and violence.
Write about this project on your social media and blogs, talk about this to journalists and editors you know, tell us your stories and basically do everything to spread the word.

Cost of the book on Kindle 299 INR
Money received back  at 70%royalties minus taxes 230 INR (this is available for distribution)
total books- 826
Editor fee - 10 ,000
230x826 = 1,90,000

More books you buy, more we can donate to those who cannot afford. After illustrator and editor fee all the money goes to printing more books.
Looking forward to hearing from you
Warm regards
