When the lockdown began I knew I got to do something for our stray dogs and cats. I could not let them starve in the scorching sun of April/May.I fed 35 strays for 65 days continuously target was to feed the strays those were dependent on eateries. This was in addition to 11 dogs and cats that stay at my place. Coming from a middle class family incurring such huge expense was not easy but I was lucky enough to have my parents by my side all along. Currently, I am fundraising for Anti Rabies vaccination camp for more than 50 dogs of our area focus on slum and market places with that sterilization of dogs too. Per dog cost ₹1000 to get sterilize from Chhaya Ngo. People often refer me as “dog lady” and I smile only to promise myself to work relentlessly for them. As I know there are miles to go for a “meow-woof” friendly world. It's a request to all of you people out there stop comparing animals (the voiceless) with human beings… voiceless can't ask for help or for food but humans can.
