Masha is a 6 month old pup who stays outside our factory with her mother. We named her Masha after the injury for registration purpose. She is a friendly and fun loving Indian bred female who roams around the streets. On Monday, 16th September 2019, she was hit by a car and the driver drove off after the incident. She was crying loudly. When we went to see her, she was howling in pain and not letting anyone close. Still, the security managed to move her off the road, gave her some water and biscuits. She was clearly unable to walk at all because her hind leg was completely compromised.

She lay there all day while we waited for People for Animals volunteers to show up. They never did so I took her to Doctor Dog, a vet clinic in Banjara Hills, where she was diagnosed with a very serious oblique fracture in her left hind leg. She was proposed surgery immediately. We then took her to People for Animals in Hyderabad Old City. They told us that they will not be able to help her and will send her to the Animal Care Clinic the next day. Dr. Lakshmi has also proposed an immediate surgery else the only other option was euthanasia.

Masha has currently been admitted at the Animal Care Clinic in Banjara Hills. She has not stood up on her legs since she got hit on 16th Sep 2019. Dr. Lakshmi has been extremely helpful and is willing to do the surgery at cost to cost basis because of Masha being a street baby and we have put in the effort to save her. The surgery is proposed for today at 3:30PM. Cost of the surgery is INR 20,000.
