School Supplies for 1,000 Primary School Children in Punjab

Hello,

My name is Sarbjit and I am one of the main volunteers at Raddi to Education, a small, local NGO in Muktsar, Punjab, India. I would like to share with you, an opportunity to help make a change with less than a 1 US$ or less than Rs 100.

But first a little bit about me and who I represent (Raddi to Education).

It was a few years ago that a child that was a rag picker came to me looking for food. We asked the child and others to join our after school program and gave them food as part of our outreach activities.

Me and my friends took that as a sign of there probably being more such children. And it turned out that we were right.

Since then we have helped children and their parents get their official documents so that they can join the government run schools, assist the children with school supplies (where possible) and after school educational programs.

Late last year (2018), I was able to successfully raise funds and provide shoes to may school going children with your generous help. Today, Feb 15, 2019, I am asking for your assistance in raising funds for basic school supplies for children going to Primary Schools.

For a donation of Rs 65 or less that US$1, you can help us buy the following:

A writing slate (a handheld blackboard for children)
3 notebooks so that children can write
A set of 2 pencils, eraser and a sharpner

I urge you to help us, help our next generation.

The next school year for the primary schools will start April 1, 2019. This fundraiser will be open till March 15, 2019 only.

We have been able to buy the following materials for 655 children with your support:
