    This fundraiser will benefit

    Saravanan A

    from Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu

80G tax benefits for INR donations

This fundraiser is to help my close relative Saravanan who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer.

Saravanan is 42 years old and living in Thanjavur, Tamilnadu, India. He works in a Private bank and he is the only sole income of his Family of 5. Wife and 2 kids (12 year old boy, 4 year old boy) and his younger brother who is autistic.

He had headache often for the last 6 months and he thought that was due to work pressure and travel, hence did not get checked properly.
Couple of weeks back, one day he had severe headache and got partially paralyzed. He was then hospitalized and diagnosed with Brain tumor which is deep in nerves and got confirmed as Stage 4 cancer (RIGHT THALAMIC GLIOBLASTOMA WHO Grade IV) after surgery and biopsy.
He underwent the surgery at Trichy, India to remove the tumor.
he needs to undergo further radiation and Chemo.
He is completely bedridden now and his left eye, arm and leg are not functioning yet. Recovery is slow post surgery and will take time to start radiation/Chemo. He is now discharged from the hospital and still recovering with the help of home nurse as he is using Nasogastric tubes for food and catheter for natural calls.

So far the expenditure came around 8,00,000 Indian Rupees and the family handled them with their savings and jewels. He is having very less amount of Health Insurance coverage (around 100,000 Indian Rupees and it is not claimed yet). As a private sector employee, he may not even get his full salary after few months.

For further treatment, radiations and chemo therapy procedures, He may further need at least 10 Lakhs Indian Rupees.
Even your smallest contribution and prayers will definitely help Saravanan to fight back cancer and do a speedy recovery.
We also request you to pass this drive to your friends and family.
