Hi,
My name is Souraneel Mazumder and I am raising funds for my brother, SAPTAK, 37, who is suffering from Severe Lung Infection and is undergoing treatment at MEDICA SUPER SPECIALTY HOSPITAL (Kolkata). Adding to the Covid-19 complications, the shock of his mother’s death a month ago (due to Covid-19) had traumatized him so much that his condition progressively deteriorated and is now battling for his life. He has a 7 year old son. My brother is alive on ECMO support now for last 65 days and the medical expense has crossed Rs.82 lakhs. All our resources have already been exhausted. Now the doctors are saying that he needs to be on ECMO support for at least three more weeks and they are thinking of doing a lungs transplant . We are anticipating that the final bill won't be less than 1.5 crore. His father is a retired school teacher who has given his lifelong savings for his son's treatment.
