Santosh (Kumar Sahu) is 35, hails from Odisha and has lived about half his life in Bangalore, toiling in houses (liked yours and mine), cooking their meals. He is a father to two children and has not seen them or his wife for more than a year now. Like millions of others he found himself under the clutches of Covid; while he should just be battling for his well being now, he (and his family) are also battling to meet the expenses for his treatment. Admitted on 14th May in Oxoford Hospital, Attibele, in an ICU bed (which could be arranged only at the nick of the time), the government subsidized rate of Rs. 15,000 / day is more than what he and his family could afford in a year for healthcare. Some good Samaritans pooled in for his admission, but his discharge date is nowhere in sight and the family is running out of money (and hope). I understand it’s a time when every other post / message is a fund raiser, so its ok if you are maxing out what you had set aside to donate; please, in that case, forward this to someone who may. Any contribution (no matter how small) is invaluable to him and his family.
