EDUCATION: The world thrives on people who are educated. Good jobs come through education. And getting educated costs MONEY. I am 16 years old, in 11th grade and it is hard to imagine giving up education due to paucity of funds. That is why I am doing this Fund Raiser. I heard about a student, Sanket Jadhav,who lives in my hometown, Pune, India and is from an economically challenged background. He needs to pay his Engineering College fees for the last academic year and the current one too. His father was diagnosed with cancer just when Sanket joined college and then passed away in May 2020. The treatment depleted the family's savings completely. I intend to help him pay off his fees so he can finish his degree. He is on a 50% scholarship as he had scored 81.5% in his Civil Engineering Diploma. His hard work should not be in vain.
Sanket helps his mother, who irons clothes for a living. Pre pandemic, he would iron 70 clothes a day, after attending college, at Rs. 7 (0.10 USD) per item and at this rate it would take him 181 days to raise Rs.88,532 (1,180 USD), which he currently owes his college. If we cross our goal, the surplus money will go towards his final year fees.
