I am Sanju Kumari coming from a village called Bandhubarwa which is near the Indo Nepal border in Bihar. Of all the girls in my village, I'm one of the few who could complete my higher secondary education. As a young child, I studied in a school associated with a hospital which was the only health service for nearly 5 million people. I grew up seeing first hand how nurses helped the sick and needy, selflessly. Their love and passion inspired me to dream of becoming a nurse. My joy knew no bounds when I got called for admission for GNM nursing, Dhamtari Christian college, Dhamtari Chattisgarh.
However, with my father's monthly income of Rs 5000 and two more siblings in school, my dream seemed beyond my reach as it is impossible for my family to finance my education in these circumstances. Therefore I am looking to raise an amount of money RS.3,50,000/- to help me to pay for my tuition fees for 3 years.
I’m writing to ask you to support my studies. Just a small donation can help me to serve as a nurse in one of India's poorest districts. Your donation will go towards better health care for an area literally on the outermost fringes of India.
