My name is Radhika Mehrotra, I am resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. And working as a teacher in Azim Premji School, Uttarkashi. 

I am here to fundraise for my father, Sanjay Mehrotra, who is suffering from Multiple Myeloma, a kind of blood cancer. 

Last year in December my father frequently complained of pain in the chest and ribs, breathlessness and fever. Thinking it might be regular viral fever, he  continued with his work. Upon frequent relapse of the fever we went for blood test which showed his hemoglobin below five and platelets count 35000. My father was immediately admitted in Ram Manohar Lohia Institute, Lucknow. The doctor recommended a bone marrow test. The results of the test turned our lives upside down. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

Since then it has been a continuous struggle of the entire family. My father who is a hardworking person, enjoys being with people is unable to pay attention to his business and now seems to be very dull. For my mother it is equally strenuous as she has to look after my father, the business and the house too. I graduated this year in May from Azim Premji University, and started working in June. Thus, I am not financially strong enough to support the financial
